The 10.2-inch iPad (7th Generation) was released in 2019 and is significant for being the first entry-level iPad to include the “Smart Connector” and an Apple Smart Keyboard. It, too, supports the original Apple Pencil, as did the iPad (6th Gen) devices it replaced.
